Roulunds Braking selects Autodesk PLM 360

Roulunds Braking, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of braking products to the automotive industry, is using Autodesk PLM 360 as a central source of information on new product development. This means that both employees and customers from across the globe have easy and instant access to up-to-date product data and other information. The solution is helping to help fuel new the expansion of its core manufactured products business.

Leading the early adopter initiative within Engineering is Mark Lawrence, a Development Engineer responsible for new products, who describes how Autodesk PLM 360 is so easy to set-up, use, and configure he’s free to accomplish many of the implementation tasks with little or no outside help. This enables Roulunds Braking to offer it's customers, for the first time, a secure, on line and round-the-clock way to request product changes, access design drawings or check workflow progress during requests for new parts.

Within the company, Autodesk PLM 360 manages new product development data across the globe, every authorized user has access to the latest design schedules and design changes. It also helps streamline workflow, keeping everyone informed of the work done by others via emails generated automatically as the development process progresses up to the production stage. At this point, the relevant design release data is migrated to an enterprise-wide ERP system.
"Customers tell us they really like being able to help themselves to our most current design information and request changes while proceeding with their designs. The ability to selectively reveal up-to-date product engineering data, using Autodesk PLM 360, quickly became a major selling point for us."
Roulunds Braking has expanded rapidly over the past few years and now supplies original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) as well as the after-sales market.

"I believe we are the only manufacturer in the industry able to offer such a service and customers stay with us because they like the transparency it offers. Using Autodesk PLM 360 is really helping to grow our business."
